Frequently asked questions

Here are answers to the frequently asked questions we hear most from customers. If your question is not covered, give us a call and we will be happy to help.

What are your opening hours?

We work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm, and we are closed on Sundays. You are welcome to message us outside these hours and we will reply as soon as we can.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Alsager and cover Cheshire and Staffordshire, including Sandbach, Crewe, Congleton, Kidsgrove and Newcastle-under-Lyme. For larger projects we travel further, so please ask.

What joinery and building services do you offer?

We offer kitchen fitting, door installation, flooring, bespoke furniture and wall panelling, extensions, loft conversions and renovations. See our services page for details. If you need something not listed, it is likely we can still help.

Do you charge for quotes?

No. Quotes are free and there is no obligation. We will visit, look at the job and give you a clear written price that explains what is included.

How long will my project take?

No two projects are the same. A door or set of shelves may take a day, a kitchen usually takes one to two weeks and an extension several weeks. Once we have seen your job we will give you a start date and a realistic timescale.

Can you provide references?

Yes. You can read reviews on our reviews page and social media, and see our recent projects. We can also share further references and photos of similar jobs on request.

Will I need planning permission for an extension?

Many single-storey extensions fall under permitted development, but it depends on the size, position and type of property. The Planning Portal is a good starting point, and we are happy to talk through your plans.

Can you work from my architect's drawings?

Yes. We regularly build from architect's and structural engineer's drawings and work with building control inspectors at each stage. If you do not have plans yet, we can explain what you are likely to need.

Do you take on commercial work?

Yes. As well as homes, we carry out fit-outs and joinery for local businesses, including showroom wall panelling, internal doors and partition walls. Get in touch to discuss your premises.

Do you clean up after the work is finished?

Yes. We protect floors and furniture while we work, tidy up at the end of each day and leave the area clean when the job is complete. Waste materials are taken away and disposed of responsibly.

What is the best way to contact you?

Use whichever method suits you best. If your query is urgent, please call us on 07398 645966, as replies to messages and emails can take a little longer.
